What is the Cultivate Leadership Series? #CultivateLeadership
Cultivate Leadership is a series done by YA Fictional Author (Running After Delano), entrepreneur and vlogger Zachary Delano Middleton.
The goal of this series is sharing helpful leadership insights and resources for any initiative taker.
The bulk of this leadership writing will be centered around imagination, reimagining the workplace, creatives, creativity and fictional writing.
I believe that many people can identify problems. However, leadership is the progressive movement towards a solution. Leadership happens before the first follower is attained. Leadership is first a mindset, then it becomes an action, then it gains a follower, then more followers and then over time it leads to a cultural shift.
I believe that a good leader is a grateful person who cultivates thoughts, ideas and movements in order to positively benefit the people that they influence.
For example leadership is being the first person to pick up the trash near the wastebasket that everyone else hurdled. It’s deciding to be a mentor. It’s putting down junk food and eating more responsibly. It’s moving with a sense of purpose and not just wandering aimlessly. Moreover, in contrast leadership is also deciding which employees will retain their job during times of corporate crisis.
The “Cultivate Leadership” blog segment is about helping the reader cultivate a mindset towards taking the initiative and equipping them as they begin to direct followers.
Question for the reader — In the comment section share ways that a leadership mindset can be cultivated.
