Utensils:

  1. Baking Pan
  2. Mixing Bowl
  3. Measuring Cups
  4. Aluminum Foil or Parchment Paper
  5. Saucepan

Ingredients:

For Chicken Wings

  1. 2 lbs of Chicken Wings (Approx 12 –22 wings based on size of wings)
  2. 1 tablespoon of Canola or Vegetable Oil ( or enough spray to cover the pan)
  3. 1 ½ tablespoons of baking powder
  4. 1 teaspoon of kosher salt

For the Buffalo Sauce

  1. 4 oz (or a stick) of melted butter
  2. 4 oz or ½ cup of Frank’s RedHot Original Sauce
  3. 1 Tablespoon of Tabasco Sauce
  4. 2 Tablespoons of Dark Brown Sugar
  5. 2 teaspoons of Apple Cider Vinegar

Instructions:

For the Chicken Wing Prep

  1. If your wings are frozen, thaw them by placing them in a pot strainer. Run room temperature water over the frozen wings for 5–10 minutes. (or until unthawed)
  2. Preheat your oven to 250 ℉. Cover your baking pan with aluminum foil and spray or rub down your sheet with oil.
  3. In a mixing bowl mix the chicken with the baking soda and salt. Transfer the wings to the rack / pan. Make sure there is some space in between each wing.
  4. Heat the wings in the preheated oven for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes increase the heat to 425 ℉. Bake the wings for 40 to 50 minutes. The chicken is done when it reaches the internal temperature of 165 ℉.
  5. Remove the wings from the oven and allow them to cool for 5 to 10 minutes.
  6. Pour the homemade Buffalo Sauce (As detailed below) or your own personal favorite over the wings in a mixing bowl. Mix the wings with the sauce and then Enjoy!

For the Buffalo Sauce

  1. Melt the butter in a saucepan first. Add the Frank’s RedHot, Tabasco, Dark Brown Sugar and Apple Cider Vinegar.
  2. Heat the sauce to the point of boiling then turn the heat down to a simmer. Allow the sauce to simmer for 5 to 10 minutes.
