Recipe: Strawberries and Cream Crepes

Utensils:

  1. Blender or Whisk
  2. Measuring Cups
  3. Small or Medium Non Stick Skillet Pan
  4. 3 Mixing Bowls
  5. Separate Plate
  6. Knife
  7. Cutting Board
  8. Spatula

Ingredients:

  • Crepes
  1. 2 large eggs
  2. 2 tablespoons of butter (or oil)
  3. 1 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract or imitation vanilla
  4. 2 tablespoon of sugar
  5. 1 ¼ cup of milk
  6. 1 cup of plain or all purpose flour
  • Strawberries
  1. 2 Cups of Fresh Strawberries (Remove the Leaves and Half or Quarter the Strawberries)
  2. 2 tablespoon of sugar
  • Creme (This step can be replaced with store bought whipped cream in a can)
  1. 1 ½ cups of heavy whipping cream
  2. 1 tablespoon of sugar
  3. 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  4. If you feel the need to thicken your cream add cornstarch or flour to reach desired consistency.
  • Garnish (Optional)
  1. 1 tablespoon of confectioners sugar

Instructions:

  1. Wash and remove the leaves from the strawberries, cut them into quarters them and set them aside
  2. In a separate bowl mix the heavy whipping cream, sugar and vanilla. (Also consider replacing this step with store bought whipped cream which is comparable) Then set them aside.
  3. To create the batter choose either Option A — Put all of the crepes ingredients in a blender and mix them evenly. Or Option B — Whisk eggs, butter, vanilla, sugar and milk together. Then add the flour and whisk until the ingredients are whisked together evenly.
  4. Grease your skillet pan. Pour ¼ cup of batter in the center of a pan. Cook until the crepe begins to compose and the edges begin to golden in color.
  5. Flip the crepe and cook on the other side for 20–30 seconds. When cooked all the way through, remove the crepe and put on a separate plate and repeat with the remaining batter.
  6. Once your crepes are complete, set them on a plate as desired. ( ie. rolled like a burrito, stacked, etc) Pour the strawberry mixture over the crepes and if desired dust the crepes with the confectioners sugar and enjoy!
