Recipe: Chocolate Covered Peanut Butter and Banana Bites
Utensils
- Freezer
- Cookie Sheet or a Freezer Sheet or a piece of Aluminum Foil
- A microwave safe mug or bowl
- Measuring cups
Ingredients
- 1 or 2 Bananas
- ⅓ cup of Natural Peanut Butter
- ½ cup Dark Chocolate Chips (or Regular Chocolate Chips)
- 2 teaspoons of Coconut Oil
Instructions
- Peel the banana(s) and cut it into quarter slices.
- You will be using one cookie sheet as a freezer tray. Cut the banana into thin slices and insert peanut butter inside like small banana sandwiches. Place the sandwiches on the cookie sheet inside the freezer for at least an hour.
- After the hour, melt the chocolate chips and coconut oil in the microwave. Start by putting them in for a minute. If the contents are not completely melted add more time. Add in 30 second intervals, the process should not take more than 2 minutes.
- Take the banana(s) out of the freezer. Dunk the banana peanut butter sandwiches in the melted chocolate. Set the covered (or half covered) bananas back on the sheet and place back into the freezer.
- After 15 or more minutes remove the dessert from the freezer and enjoy!
PS — This recipe can get a little messy. You may want to use a fork to dip the banana sandwiches in the chocolate.
