Recipe: Hasselback Potatoes

Utensils:

  1. Knife
  2. Cutting Board
  3. Wooden Spoon (or a guard that blocks you from cutting through the potatoes)
  4. Baking Pan
  5. Parchment Paper

Ingredients:

  1. 4 Russet or Red Potatoes.
  2. 3 Tablespoons of vegetable oil
  3. 1 Tablespoon of Sea Salt
  4. 1–2 Tablespoons of melted butter
  5. 1 teaspoon of chopped parsley

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 450 ℉.
  2. Cut the potatoes width wise, don’t cut them all the way through rather cut them approx ¾ to ⅞ of the way. Consider using your wooden spoons as a guide. Do this by placing the wooden spoons beside the potatoes lengthwise when you cut. This prevents your from cutting all the way through the potatoes. Make sure your slices are small, about ⅛ inch in diameter.
  3. Brush them with vegetable oil and sprinkle them with sea salt.
  4. Bake the potatoes for 50 to 60 minutes or until the potatoes are tender.
  5. Remove the potatoes from the oven and add or brush a portion of butter to each potato. Sprinkle with parsley and Enjoy!
